The Cummins Cottage

Our cottage faces south looking between two islands to the eastern end of Eggemoggin Reach. Windows on 3 walls of the living room provide morning sun to the eating area, all day views of boats sailing past and sunsets over the Camden Hills.

Corner of deck A low deck is just a step above the generous lawn. There is ample seating on the deck and plenty of grass for games. The lawn leads directly and gently to a typical Maine beach.

We think the cottage is special because it is so close to the beach. Our own home is on the property so we are here to answer questions and to make your stay with us pleasant and enjoyable. Lobsters and crabmeat are available locally. The Brooklin General Store is 4 miles away in the center of town. The Post Office and Friend Memorial Library are also at the town center. Brooklin has 3 restaurants. Blue Hill, 15 miles away, is a larger town with 2 grocery stores, art galleries, gift shops, restaurants, laundry facilities. We do allow pets but must warn you that we do have wild animals in the area.

Fireplace The cottage has 3 bedrooms (one with a queen bed and the others with 2 single beds each) comfortably sleeping six people. The bathroom is small with a shower only. All bed linens and blankets are furnished as well as towels, bath & beach.

The kitchen is behind the fireplace that separates the living area from the cooking area. It is well equipped with a full size gas stove and large refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, plenty of pots, pans, utensils, dishes and glasses.

Firewood is furnished; utilities except for non-local phone are included in the rent.
